Karen Diana Swan is the principal chair of the legendary Indigo League Elite Four. Her primarily dark-type ensemble is a final test to challengers hoping to try their dueling abilities against dragon tamer Champion Lance.

In addition to being a member of the Indigo League's Elite Four, Swan is also the League's own Chief of Intelligence. Long has the public known of her complicated past tied to Giovanni Sakaki-era Team Rocket. Swan ascended to the C-Suite after (now public, then behind closed doors) betraying her role as an analyst for Team Rocket, leaking classified Rocket information, and being the primary informant leading to the fall of Team Rocket at the turn of the century.

When she isn’t working, Karen is a volunteer case manager for the League sponsored Apex Containment & Rehabilitation Department. She is an avid gardener with persona gardens present at both her Indigo Plateau residence as well as at her private home in Lavender Town. Swan is often seen at the Pewter City bathhouse, shopping in Celadon City, and on official league business in Saffron City and Goldenrod City.
